About Us

"Yalla 'Lets Go' Boston"

Company:

Yalla in Arabic meaning “Lets Go!” is the very heart of YallaBoston.com!

YallaBoston! strives in spreading awareness of the Middle Eastern culture that thrives throughout the many local communities of the Boston and greater Massachusetts areas.

We do this not only by serving as an informational directory for Middle Eastern business owners, but through event promotion of many kinds.

          Mission:

  • To spread Middle Eastern culture
  • To promote Middle Eastern businesses and business owners
  • To promote Middle Eastern events and culture

Our Story:

Born a native of Boston, and growing up in a Lebanese-American family, I have always desired to connect to my family's cultural roots.  It wasn't until the summer of 2004, that I visited Lebanon for the first time, and saw my relatives that I had only known through stories and through old photos from years past.  It was a promise from a father to his son and since then, life has never been the same.

Then how did YallaBoston! get started?

Before YallaBoston.com was launched in 2008, so many have asked me the same questions...

"Are there any Lebanese restaurants here, I need falafel!" -Yes

"Are there places to smoke argileh in this city?" -Yes

"I'm new to Boston, are there other Arabs here?" -Yes

"Are there Arabic groups in the city I can join?" -Yes

"My mother needs a lawyer who can speak Arabic, any ideas?" -Yes

My answer to all the above, and so many similar questions throughout the years... YallaBoston!

There is an apparent need for people to connect with one another, weather it be through their culture, religion or simple common interests.  People in general, need to feel they can relate to someone or something.  This is why YallaBoston was created; because of those who, including myself, desired to not only connect and be a part of their culture and community but to also share a part of it with others.
